Najczęściej zadawane pytania

What communication buses will be discussed during the training?Rozwiń

The training covers communication buses such as CAN, K-Line, LIN, J1939, FlexRay, MOST and Ethernet.

What is the difference between a full driver backup and a partial backup?Rozwiń

A full backup saves the entire contents of the controller's memory, allowing you to restore the device to its original state, while a partial backup only saves specific sections or data, which is useful for modifying or repairing specific functions.

What does the term CRC mean?Rozwiń

CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) is an algorithm used to detect errors in digital data. It involves calculating a short, fixed-length value (called a checksum or hash) from the input data. This checksum is then appended to the data and transmitted with it. When receiving or reading data, the CRC is recalculated and compared with the attached checksum. If the values match, there is a good chance that the data is correct and has not been corrupted during transmission or storage. In case of discrepancies in values, an error and data corruption can be concluded.

Will the course cover specific sections of the map?Rozwiń

Yes, the course will cover individual sections of the control map. Participants will learn how to precisely locate and analyze popular actuators, including EGR and DPF/FAP.

What software will be used during the course?Rozwiń

We will use WinOLS during the training. It is advanced software that gives users full control over the control maps in the engine control units (ECU). It is widely used in the automotive industry, especially in the field of ECU software.

Does the training include practical exercises?Rozwiń

Of course. There is no better way to learn than through practice. During our course, after receiving an appropriate dose of knowledge, we go straight to practice, practicing how to read controllers removed from vehicles, search for maps of actuators in popular units, modify the software using automated solutions, compare files with each other and save the modified software in the controller's memory .

I am not a mechanic, but I am interested in the subject of training. Can I take part in the training?Rozwiń

Absolutely. You don't have to work in the automotive industry to participate in our training. The course will help you start a career as a mechanic, diagnostician or car tuning specialist. Not only will you gain knowledge and skills in reading and modifying engine controller software, but you will also meet other enthusiasts who already work in this industry.

After completing the course, will I be able to independently modify the ECU software in my vehicle?Rozwiń

Yes, the course provides hands-on training in reading, analyzing and modifying ECU software. You will acquire the necessary knowledge and experience to be able to work independently with diagnostic and software tools. Thanks to this, you will be able to modify the car software according to your preferences and needs.
